Need a fill up? Here’s the cheapest fuel prices in Worcester

Worcester Editorial 20th Jun, 2022   0

DRIVERS are again keeping an eagle eye on petrol prices following the spike in the cost of living.

It comes as the cost of filling an average family car continues to be more than £100 and this week’s rail strikes which are expected to see more people take to their cars.

According to the RAC, the average price of petrol rose to 188.70p per litre on Sunday (June 19), while the average for diesel rose to another record high of 196.06p per litre.

This means the average cost of filling a typical family car now exceeds £100, coming in at 103.79p for petrol and 108.13p for diesel.

In March, the government cut fuel duty by 5p a litre for a year, but the RAC has called for more help for motorists with either a further reduction or a VAT cut.

Together with www.petrolprices.com we’ve rounded up the cheapest places to get petrol and diesel within five miles of the city.
