A MAN who was found with life-threatening injuries in Worcester yesterday (November 25) has died.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was found on Barbourne Road in Worcester by officers at around 4.15am yesterday morning.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died later that day.
His death is now being investigated as murder.
Shortly after the attack yesterday, five men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A sixth man was arrested yesterday afternoon.
The men, aged between 22 and 35, all remain in custody.
Det Ch Insp Lee Holehouse, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim.
“I know this incident has shocked the local community. I’d like to reassure you that we’re working hard and at pace to understand what happened yesterday, and that at this stage there is nothing to suggest any wider risk to the public.
“A scene guard remains in place on Barbourne Road while we collect evidence and carry out enquiries, and you’ll continue to see an increased police presence in the area throughout today.”
