POLITICIANS have joined the Bishop of Worcester in expressing their concern after Buckingham Palace revealed the Queen was under medical supervision.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

Speaking after the announcement, Worcester’s MP Robin Walker said: “Deeply concerned to hear this news in the chamber of the Commons today – rightly thought and prayers of all of us with the Queen and her family.”

West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin added: “I am deeply concerned to hear reports that Her Majesty is under medical supervision and on behalf of everyone in West Worcestershire I send prayers.”

“My thoughts and prayers – and those of my constituents, the country and the Commonwealth are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,” said Evesham’s MP Nigel Huddleston
