MOTORISTS have been warned Crookbarrow Way will closed for long periods this weekend as part of continued work on the Southern Link Road.
The A4440 Crookbarrow Way and footbridge will be closed while work takes place overhead and diversions will be in place.
Highways chiefs the road will be closed from 9pm tonight (Friday) until 7am tomorrow morning and again from 7pm tomorrow evening until 7am on Sunday.
The final closure will take place from 7pm on Sunday until 5am on Monday (August 24). The footbridge will be closed from 9pm tonight (Friday) until 1pm on Monday for painting work to be completed – this also allows drying periods.
The new pedestrian/cycle ramp between Crookbarrow Way and the St Peter’s end of the Crookbarrow Way Footbridge will be open but will only be accessible from the bridleway link which will be signposted.
