MUSICIANS are tuning up for the return of Worcester Music Festival this weekend.
There are 300 performances scheduled across 25 city centre venues from Friday September 12 until Sunday September 14, including an outdoor stage in Cathedral Square.
The festival promises an unforgettable celebration of grassroots culture and local talent. Participating venues range from iconic Worcester music venues to tattoo studios, bars, breweries, record shops, a church, and wine bars, all easily spotted by the festival’s bright red venue signs.
A staple of Worcester’s cultural calendar since 2008, the festival continues to champion emerging artists and independent venues, transforming grassroots and community spaces into vibrant live music hubs.
This year’s line-up, curated by local promoters, will showcase a diverse mix of genres and performers, drawing thousands of visitors to the heart of the city.
In line with its commitment to community impact, Worcester Music Festival has announced Worcester Snoezelen as its 2025 chosen charity. All fundraising efforts throughout the weekend will support this vital local organisation, which provides person-centred multisensory activities for children and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs.
Following last year’s success, raising over £5,400 for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Motor Neurone Disease Association, the festival is aiming to surpass that figure in 2025.
No tickets are required. Attendees are encouraged to show up, support local music, and give generously via online donations, charity buckets, or directly to the festival’s brightly dressed charity team, who will be roaming the city throughout the weekend.
