Mayor of Worcester helps unveils new defibrillator at RLSS city HQ

Worcester Editorial 29th Apr, 2023   0

MAYOR of Worcester Coun Adrian Gregson was on hand to help unveil a new defibrillator at the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)’s city headquarters.

Worcester’s first citizen joined RLSS UK Charity Director Lee Heard to officially unveil the defibrillator.

The defibrillator is also formally registered on The Circuit, a network of public-access defibrillators designed to save lives in emergencies.

RLSS UK is the UK’s leading charity for lifeguard training and water safety education and has helped the public to enjoy water safely for more than 130 years.

Installing the defibrillator – a lifesaving device that can restore a regular heart rhythm during a cardiac arrest – on the outside of the building will ensure that the life saving equipment is easily accessible to RLSS UK staff, the emergency services, and the local community.

“We are thrilled to have this new defibrillator installed at our Headquarters,” said Nick Grazier, Senior Head of Commercial Projects & Partnerships. RLSS UK is passionate about keeping the public safe; this device will give people in our local community an added level of comfort, knowing it is available in an emergency.

The Circuit is the National Defibrillator Network -a British Heart Foundation initiative in partnership with the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives, Resuscitation Council and St John

Ambulance that provides a nationwide overview of where defibrillators are to provide vital information for NHS ambulance services and the local community in an emergency. www.thecircuit.uk
