Man suffers suspected broken jaw during city centre assault

A MAN suffered a suspected broken jaw after he was punched in the head during an assault on Angel Street, Worcester.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident, which happened in the city centre between 1.50am and 2am on Sunday (July 10) following a verbal altercation between two men.

One of the men is then thought to have assaulted the other man, punching the victim in the head, who was taken to hospital for treatment on a suspected broken jaw.

DC Jason Maiden of West Mercia Police said: “We are appealing for any members of the public who may have witnessed this assault to contact us as they may have important information.




“The street was quite busy at the time and it is possible there are still witnesses we would like to speak to.”
