Man suffers from facial injuries in unprovoked attack

Worcester Editorial 15th Nov, 2016   0

A MAN in his 40’s has suffered from facial injuries in an unprovoked attack in Worcester.

At around 7pm on Thursday (November 3),  the victim was walking to his car, close to The Firefly Pub on Lowesmoor, when he was assaulted by another man.

He did not know the man and was treated by ambulance staff at the scene.

The attacker was around 6 foot tall, of slim build, wearing a light coloured hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms with red stripes running down the sides and a grey baseball cap.

A man matching a description of the offender was seen a few minutes earlier in St Nicholas Street.

Officers are keen for anyone who saw the assault, who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously quoting incident number 670S of November 3.
