A MAN charged with the murder of a 20-year-old Worcester woman and the attempted murder of a second person has been remanded in custody.
Charles Byrne, 24, from Waterworks Road was charged last night (Thursday) and appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates Court this morning.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court next week.
The body of a 20-year-old woman was found in the River Severn on Wednesday evening and a police cordon was set up on the Diglis footbridge and on Waterworks Road and Cheviot Close.
Her family have been informed but no formal identification has taken place.
