Man left with serious injuries after assault in Lowesmoor

A MAN was left with serious facial injuries after an assault outside the Black Cherry Club in Worcester.

Police were called to the Lowesmoor venue at about 4.30am on Saturday (February 20) after the incident left the 32-year-old needing further treatment at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

A 25-year-old man also suffered from minor injuries as a result of the assault.

Officers have now arrested a 32-year-old man from Worcester on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. A 36-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault by causing actual bodily harm.




Descriptions have been released of potential witnesses to the assault, with police keen to speak to a white man with dark hair who was wearing a dark coloured shirt, a white woman with fair hair, wearing white trousers with a white top and a second white woman with dark hair, wearing dark trousers and a lighter coloured top.

They were all seen walking up Lowesmoor in the direction of the city centre close to the time of the incident.
