A ‘MANIPULATIVE’ Great Witley man has been jailed after pleading guilty to 14 child sex offences.

David Edwards, 23, of Stourport Road was sentenced to four years in prison for 11 counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and three counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court last Friday (December 19).

The crimes occurred between December 2009 and November 2012, involving seven girls, who were between the ages of 13 and 15 at the time. All of the instances took place over texting and a social networking website.

DC Kirsty Hickling, the investigating officer, said: “I hope the sentencing of this calculated and manipulative individual has brought justice to these innocent victims.

“I also urge any other victims of such hideous crimes to come forward. We take these offences very seriously and will do everything in our power to protect people from harm and bring offenders to justice.”
