Man charged with Norton murder remanded until New Year

THE MAN accused of murdering his father during an incident in Norton has appeared at Worcester Crown Court

Daryl John Sampson, 28, of Broomhall Cottages, appeared before His Honour Judge Robert Juckes QC for a hearing this morning (Thursday).

Mr Sampson is charged with the murder of his father Robert Sampson, 63, during the altercation in Crookbarrow Road on November 16.

No plea was entered during the hearing and Mr Sampson was remanded in custody until Friday, January 26.




Judge Juckes adjourned the hearing to allow for a psychological report to be prepared on Mr Sampson and said he expected the 28-year-old to enter a plea on his next appearance before the court.
