Man charged following car crime in Worcester

A 37-YEAR-OLD man from Worcester has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle and aggravated vehicle taking following recent incidents in Warndon Villages and Dines Green.

Christopher Holder, 37, of Glenthorne Avenue, Worcester, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (April 4) in relation to the charges and has been remanded in custody.

The theft from a vehicle occurred on Saturday (April 2) in Ennderdale Close in Warndon Villages. The majority of the items stolen from the vehicle were recovered and have since been returned to the victim.

Holder was also charged with taking a vehicle without consent in relation to an incident in Dines Green on March 10.




PC Rowan Boyle, of West Mercia Police’s Safer Neighbouhood Team for Warndon, said: “We know there have been ongoing concerns in around car crime in Warndon Villages, and Worcester in general.

“We hope that this arrest and remand will result in a marked decrease in such offences and send a message to anyone considering undertaking such crime that we will catch up with you.”
