A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a security guard was stabbed in Blackpole.
Specialist officers were called to the Sainsbury’s petrol station at about 3pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
Officers had already been called to the nearby Blackpole Inn where a customer had been threatened with a ‘bladed weapon’ but not injured.
Once at the garage, the man was detained nearby while the injured security guard was taken to the Worcestershire Royal.
“Enquiries are continuing and the public can expect to see an increase in police presence as we conduct our investigation,” a police spokesperson said.
“We can confirm there is no ongoing risk to the public.”
