Man accused of murdering father in Norton attack appears in court

THE MAN accused of murdering his father during an incident in Norton has appeared at Worcester Crown Court

Daryl John Sampson, 28, of Broomhall Cottages spoke only to confirm his name during the hearing.

Mr Sampson is charged with the murder of his father Robert Sampson, 63, during the altercation in Crookbarrow Road at 11pm on Thursday.

Richard Atkins QC, prosecuting, told the court Mr Sampson had met his father to discuss their differences, adding there was ‘history’ between them.




No application was made for bail and Mr Sampson was remanded in custody by His Honour Judge Robert Juckes QC for a further plea and direction hearing on Thursday, December 21
