Making the right call

Worcester Editorial 22nd Nov, 2018   0

A WORCESTER call centre played its part in BBC Children in Need’s record fund-raising total of £50.5million.

Friday’s appeal was boosted by more than 100 npower employees who took more than 1,000 donation calls from across the area.

Special guests Mayor of Worcester Coun Jabba Riaz, MP Robin Walker and Worcestershire cricketers Josh Tongue and Dillon Pennington also stopped by to cheer on the hard-working volunteers.

This is the seventh year that npower has supported BBC Children in Need by hosting official contact centres, and the third time the Worcester site has taken part.

“’I was delighted to be at npower once again to witness the fantastic work they are do for BBC Children in Need.

Everyone did a great job and were really enjoying themselves, it’s amazing to see so many people giving up their free time for this wonderful cause,” said Coun Riaz.
