A WOMAN had a lucky escape when a van crashed and overturned in Worcester this morning.
The van ended up on its side after the collision which happened around 9.30am on Whittington Road, near the roundabout connecting the A44 and the A4440.
Fortunately no-one was trapped but a crew from Worcester Fire Station and a recovery firm worked together to make the vehicle safe.
The emergency services left the scene shortly after 11am.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and paramedic officer to the scene.
The driver – a woman – was treated by ambulance staff for minor injuries.
She did not wish to go to hospital and so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene.
