Lloyds bank not working: How long will it be down? Why is it not working?

CUSTOMERS with Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland have been unable to check their bank accounts this morning both online and via the dedicated apps.

Users who try to log into Lloyds on the app are met with a red error message which reads: “Sorry we can’t show you some of the account information you’ve asked for right now. Please try later.”

When customers try and click on their accounts another error message reads: “Sorry we’re having technical problems. This might be fixed by trying to log in again now. If not, please try again later.”

However the same message appears after closing the app and trying to log in again.

In response both Lloyds Bank and Halifax said on Twitter: “We know some of you are having issues with Internet Banking.

“We’re sorry for this. We’re working to have it back to normal soon.”

No information has been provided by Bank of Scotland as to what the issue is, or how long it will take to resolve.
