A CHARITY ball in aid of St Richard’s Hospice has raised £9,000 to help the charity care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
More than 200 people attended the Kings Hawford Las Vegas Ball at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford where they enjoyed a three-course meal, disco and casino, as well as performances from Steve Maitland and his Big Swing Band and the Las Vegas dancers.
Jim Turner, headmaster of Kings Hawford School, said: “We were delighted to support the valuable work of St. Richard’s at the Las Vegas Ball. It was a most enjoyable evening and one in which we were able to raise funds to assist the hospice while having a terrific evening in a perfect venue.”
Jayne Sargeant, St Richard’s Hospice community fundraiser, said; “We are most grateful to the Kings Hawford School and the Bank House Hotel, and to everyone involved in making the evening such a success. We would like to thank everyone who generously supported the raffle on the evening, and thank all the local businesses who provided a range of wonderful prizes.”
