Keep boredom at bay this half-term with free activities

Worcester Editorial 19th Feb, 2017   0

CITY youngsters can keep boredom at bay this half-term with free activities at 11 locations across Worcester.

Freedom Leisure is once again offering a multi-sport programme over a jam packed five-day timetable to help young people and families stay active and have some fun.

The activities will include cricket, tennis, football, badminton, volleyball, rugby, athletics, Frisbee, parachute games and much more!

The sessions run from Monday (February 20) to Friday (February 24) and will cater for two to 18-year-olds.

Hannah Cox, Regional Development Manager at Freedom Leisure, said: “These sporting activities are all free, on the doorstep of many and provide variety for the entire family.

“We are pleased to offer these free sessions during the school holidays, which we hope parents will agree, are a huge asset for the city – as keeping the kids entertained can get costly!

“The sessions are always really popular, with over 2,400 children and young people engaged in one or more of the activities since they started in 2015. ”

“We welcome everyone, from holiday play schemes to the whole family, including grandparents, and with no booking required you can simply turn up, sign in and take part,” she added.

To access a full time table of the activities and venues go www.freedom-leisure.co.uk or call 07885 407474.
