A MALVERN coffee shop and roastery are celebrating the success of their first latte art competition and social event.
Malvern Coffee Culture invited a dozen barista’s to showcase their latte art skills for a host of coffee obsessed visitors on August 11.
The competition was deemed a brilliant success with three judges scoring each person and awarding first place to Grace from Caffe Nero and second place to Laimis, another local Malvern barista.
The organisers, who also have a coffee shop in Droitwich, thanked local distillers, Malvern Gin for providing cocktails and spirit samples to guests and praised Makers and Wright, a local furniture, homeware and interior design company for showcasing their designs and helping out on the day.
Malvern Coffee Culture said the event was not just for them but also to support local traders in raising awareness of their ‘fantastic’ products.
A spokesperson for Malvern Coffee Culture said: “Well done to everyone who took part. Terrific night.
“Things got tense as baristas competed for the trophy. Thank you to everyone who came along to watch.”
