In harmony with a good cause

Worcester Editorial 8th Feb, 2017   0

A WORCESTER-based national charity has praised a group of local singers for their three years of fund-raising for the cause.

Evesham-based Vale Harmony’s were in fine voice at the Worcester Victorian Fayre and raised £108 for the charity.

The group’s latest effort means it has raised £540 for Leukaemia CARE since 2014 and the charity presented the singers with a cerificate of appreciation.

“We’re really pleased that our local barbershop chorus has formed a friendship with us,” said Claire Boston, community fund-raiser for the charity.

“The cash they’ve raised is invaluable in enabling us to provide information, advice and support to all those whose lives are affected by blood cancers.”

Chris Franey, chairman of Vale Harmony said: “We love singing to help charities and we’re delighted to have helped Leukaemia CARE.”
