ORGANISERS of St Peter’s Parish Festival are calling on their local community to step forward this weekend with ideas and offers of help to make this year’s event one of the best yet.
Dave Simmonds is the Festival’s portfolio holder from St Peter’s Parish council which stages the annual community celebration on Power Park.
He said he hopes that local residents of all ages will come to an ‘Ideas and Volunteers’ open afternoon at St Peter’s Village Hall and have their say or get involved with this year’s event.
“We have had lots of new ideas for the Festival but we want to make sure that our audience approves.”
Rachael Hodgetts, who is organising this year’s festival alongside the ocuncil said: “We are inviting the local community to call in for a chat with Dave and I over tea and cake.
“We look forward to meeting a cross section of the people who live, work, or meet in and around St Peter’s and collecting their views and feedback.”
The ‘Ideas and Volunteers’ open afternoon takes place at St Peter’s Village Hall, WR5 3TA between 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Saturday March 15.
The Parish Festival will be held on Power Park on Sunday afternoon June 8.
