A CRICKET-lover has been bowled over by winning £2,000 in the city’s Community Lottery.
Rob Goodman, a youth cricket coach at Worcester Cricket Club, signed up for the Community Lottery when it launched just over a year ago.
Worcester Cricket Club has more than 50 senior playing members and 185 junior members and plays at the top of the Worcestershire cricket leagues.
It has ambitious plans to build a new clubhouse and is looking for financial assistance to help improve facilities and to invest in new training equipment.
“I was keen to join the Community Lottery because I knew that half of the money I spent on tickets would go directly to my chosen good cause: Worcester Cricket Club,” said Rob.
Since Worcester Community Lottery was launched in April 2019 it has raised more than £32,000 for local good causes.
