Worcester Editorial 3rd Nov, 2022   0

STAFF at a Worcester opticians turned all shades of pink to help raise money for a breast cancer charity.

Team members at the Specsavers store on Pump Street were taking part in the Wear It Pink day, aimed at raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Colleagues donated money for the opportunity to dress in pink, with one wearing a pink nightie and another in bright pink shorts with parrots all over.

A sweepstakes and collection box in store allowed customers to donate and take part in the fund-raising bid.

Specsavers Worcester retail manager Eloise Smith said: “Breast cancer research is a charity close to all our hearts at Specsavers Worcester and we are delighted to be able to support it and have some fun along the way. Thanks to the efforts of our staff and the generosity of our customers, we managed to raise a total of £70 on the day.’

Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, providing support for families affected by the illness and contributing to research in the hopes of finding a cure in the future.
