NEW Principal and Chief Executive of Heart of Worcestershire College Michelle Dowse has revealed her hopes to build and further strengthen links with the University of Worcester.
Speaking on a visit to the campus, Ms Dowse said the college and University together played an important role in ensuring students become equipped with the right skills for the future.
She met Vice Chancellor, Professor David Green CBE DL and Pro Vice Chancellor for Partnerships, Mick Donovan.
Ms Dowse was given a tour of the University’s campuses, including the historic City Campus and the Art House, The Hive, Arena and the new Elizabeth Garrett Anderson building for health and medical education.
“The University has some fabulous facilities and it’s clear the benefits this brings to our county,” she said.
“Both the college and the University are important enhancers of our community, Collaborative work between us will ensure employers have the skilled workforce they need to thrive.”
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the University and further building relationships which bring benefits to our students and the wider communities we serve,” she said.
Professor Green, the University’s Chief Executive, said he was delighted to welcome Ms Dowse to the campus.
