Majority of Kempsey customers now have water after burst pipe

Worcester Editorial 5th Dec, 2017 Updated: 5th Dec, 2017   0

SEVERN Trent bosses have confirmed all of their Kempsey customers affected by the burst water pipe in an alley off Bath Road should now have running water.

The fault was reported just after 6am this morning and Severn Trent staff are now on site and have isolated the fault and will carry out repairs on the 12 inch pipe.

Three way traffic lights have been installed on Bath Road to allow further work to take place and an alternative pedestrian crossing will be put in place.

A spokesperson said: “We’re still moving water round our network in a different way to get the remaining customers back on but it shouldn’t be too much longer now.

“We’d justĀ  like to say sorry to everyone who has been affected andĀ also apologise for the disruption this is causing to motorists as we know how busy the road can be.
