COST domestic bin collections in Worcester will run as normal over Christmas, with just one change of date for those who live in certain areas of the city.
Green or black bin collections due on Boxing Day will be collected on December 30. This affects homes in the Cathedral, Nunnery, St Peter’s and also in Battenhall.
All other dates for domestic bin collection will remain the same.
As a result, extra crews will be working on December 30 and bagged side waste will be collected where necessary.
Bin collections will be back to normal from January 2.
If you need to check which day your bin will be collected you can use the City Council’s bin round look-up service at www.worcester.gov.uk/recycling-waste.
Please remember to make sure your bins are placed out by 7am on your day of collection.
Remember: you can put large cardboard boxes, Christmas cards (except glitter ones) and wrapping paper (excluding foil or glittery paper) in your green bin. Tin foil and tinsel need to go in the black bin.
There will be no bulky waste collections on Boxing Day, December 28, January 2 and January 4 accordingly. These will start again on January 10.

For trade waste collections, there will be some minor changes in Christmas week.
Monday’s collections will therefore move to Wednesday (December 27) and Tuesday collections will take place on Thursday (December 28).
Meanwhile, commercial non-recyclable waste collections for New Year’s Day will take place on January 2.
Additionally, commercial recycling waste collections for New Year’s Day will take place on Wednesday, January 3.
