Healthy Minds are in focus

Worcester Editorial 2nd Mar, 2021   0

A NEW mental health campaign in Worcestershire is raising awareness of Healthy Minds, a service for people suffering with stress, anxiety or depression.

‘Now We’re Talking’, established by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, aims to put an end to the stigma around mental health.

And part of the campaign will see the trust team up with local businesses and artists to encourage residents to get arty.

Organisers are planning on doing an art trail through Worcester city centre to keep minds active and bring communities together.

There will be installations of fine art, photography, craft, murals and more in windows and outdoor spaces.

Dawn Stallard, team lead at Healthy Minds, said: “There are many situations in a person’s life which can lead to stress, anxiety, low mood or depression.

“Sometimes there are no obvious causes, but asking the question and starting a conversation with someone can make a big difference.”

You can contact the Healthy Minds teams without needing to see another health professional first.

Visit www.healthyminds.whct.nhs.uk or call 0300 3021313 to speak to a member of the team.

In addition, the trust also runs a 24/7 mental health helpline for anyone who needs urgent advice which you can reach by calling 01905 681 915.

You can also follow the campaign on Twitter by following @NowWereTalking.
