Handbags stolen in Ombersley Road burglary

Worcester Editorial 11th Dec, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

THIEVES made off with four handbags following a burglary at an Ombersley Road property.

The ladies bags, which contained money, mobile phones and keys, were snatched from the address overnight on Saturday (December 6) and Sunday (December 7).

Police have issued reminders for residents to remain vigilant over the festive period by using timer switches to turn lights on when you are out, as a well-lit home gives the impression someone is in, lock windows, doors and keep gates and side entrances well secured, don’t leave car keys or valuables near windows, doors or letterboxes and to invest in external lighting.

Anyone with further information about the incident can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
