Green-fingered Greens clean up brook

Worcester Editorial 6th Jun, 2019   0

GREEN-FINGERED Green Party councillors have staged a litter pick by the brook which runs between Tintern Avenue and Astwood Road Cemetery.

County Councillor Matthew Jenkins and City Councillors Marjory Bisset and Neil Laurenson collected several bags of litter and discarded objects, including a six foot mirror.

Coun Neil Laurenson said: “The area by the brook had become a dumping ground, so it was satisfying to clear away so much litter and debris.

“If anyone would like to help us clear up the rest, or do a tidy-up anywhere else in St. Stephen, please contact myself, Matt or Marjory.”
