STAFF at M&S Worcester have raised more than £1,000 for Breast Cancer Now after a hosting a sponsored charity walk and cycle ride to support the charity.
The team walked 12 miles from M&S Worcester to M&S Malvern and back again to support M&S’s nationwide campaign to raise money for the breast cancer charity in April. In addition to the walk, the M&S team fund-raised with a 350 mile indoor-cycling challenge.
Chris Bentley, store manager at M&S Worcester said: “We’ve had a fantastic month raising money for this incredible charity, which provides crucial support to people affected by breast cancer within our local community.
“Breast Cancer Now is a cause close to the hearts of both customers and colleagues alike, so we are incredibly grateful to those that have given so generously to help support the cause.”
M&S stores up and down the country have been supporting Breast Cancer Now throughout April with an exclusive range of clothing with a share of the proceeds being donated to the charity.
M&S has also worked with Breast Cancer Now to create a range of pretty, comfortable and supportive post-surgery bras.
The High Street giant will donate 10 per cent from every product in the post-surgery range to Breast Cancer Now to support critical research into breast cancer.
