Get hands on with history at The Hive

Worcester Editorial 17th Feb, 2019   0

CHILDREN can get hands-on with a variety of activities run by the Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service.

The free event will be at the children’s library in The Hive on Thursday (February 21) from 10am to 3pm.

This family event will include activities such as digging in a sandpit for real archaeological finds, write with a quill pen, play a historic game and take part in a civil war trail.

Paul Hudson, Learning and Outreach manager, at Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service said “Our Hands on History events are always popular, as children can come along and pretend to be archaeologists.

“We have real finds from digs to handle and we always find that the children love the interaction they get with these objects”

As part of the Love Worcester festival events will be run throughout half term by heritage venues in Worcester.
