FANS of this year’s Peregrine Falcons livestream will be able to see the newly hatched chicks up close at a series of pop-up viewing sessions.
All four of Worcester Cathedral’s chicks were welcomed into the world last week.
People will now be able to visit the nest viewing area within Cathedral grounds, with the latest pop-up session being between 1.30pm and 3pm this Bank Holiday Monday.
Another session will be held between 5.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday, May 8, with another 12 scheduled throughout the next two months.
A team of experts will be on hand with binoculars and telescopes for people to turn up, watch the Falcons and talk all things Peregrine.
The sessions are free to take part in.
The new mother and father birds, named Peter and Peggy by Cathedral followers, have been visiting the nest box for a few months now.
This year’s action is being live-streamed on YouTube as well as on a screen inside the Cathedral.
Peregrines have been in and around Worcester for hundreds of years and are depicted in the Cathedral’s great West Window and parts of the stonework.
