A CITY business which started just over a year ago has scooped another national award.
Sue and Vance Parsons, owners of Driver Hire Hereford & Worcester in King Street, were named the company’s New Franchisee of the Year after seeing ‘outstanding’ levels of trading during their first full year in business.
Driver Hire, which has a nationwide network of over 100 offices, provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to businesses and organisations across the UK.
They help when customers need extra staff to deal with holidays, illness or business expansion.
The Parsons first opened their doors for business in October 2013 as a brand new franchise with no customers and no drivers but they’ve since gone from strength to strength and already won startups.com Franchisee of the Year award.
Mr Parsons said: “We’ve enjoyed an exceptional first year with Driver Hire.
“Of course success like this doesn’t come without an awful lot of hard work. Because we’re a 24/7 business that means the occasional disturbed night’s sleep.
“It’s great to have our efforts recognised and, with the opening of our new office in Hereford, we’re looking forward to pushing on from here.”
