Four mile tailbacks on M5 southbound after two collisions

A COLLISION between a lorry and a car has closed of the M5 southbound between junctions six and seven.

The first incident has seen the car leave the road on the nearside of the carriageway.

Traffic is currently being held at junction six with four and a half miles of queuing being reported

Recovery of the vehicles is ongoing and Highways West Midlands has stated it hopes to open the carriageway as soon as possible.




UPDATE: A second collision has now been reported
