A KIND-HEARTED businessman has been ‘giving something back this Christmas’ by donating warm clothing and bedding to Worcester’s homeless.

Dean Phillips, manager at DPPT Total Body Fitness in Evesham, spent yesterday (Monday) visiting the city’s St Paul’s Hostel and Maggs Day Centre to support the homeless and vulnerable.

Mr Phillips and his team donated scarves, hats, coats and other items of warm clothing and bedding, and has pledged to make regular visits throughout 2016.

“I think it’s time we gave back,” said Mr Phillips.

“When I heard how many people were homeless in the area this Christmas I wanted to do something to help.

“I’ve asked all the crew at DPPT Total Body Fitness to support me in donating clothing and bedding to St Paul’s Hostel and Magg’s Day Centre, to help support those in need this Christmas,” he added.

Jonathan Sutton, CEO at St Paul’s Hostel said: “We were delighted to meet Dean and tell him about our mission.

“We’re so pleased with all the donations. Thank you to all of the team at DPPT.”

Donations of clothing can be sent to Mr Phillips and his team, who will pass them onto those in need.
