Worcester Editorial 9th Feb, 2023   0

FIREFIGHTERS from Worcester were among those to tackle an incident involving three vehicles and a pick-up truck on the M5 between junction six and five.

The collision took place at about 10.15pm last night (Wednesday) on the northbound carriageway.

Crews from Worcester and Droitwich join West Mercia Police at the scene.

All the vehicles were made safe by fire crews while a male casualty was attended to at the scene by police officers.

Absorbent granules were used to clean up the road following the incident.

Last night’s incident followed the closure of the northbound carriageway between Droitwich and Bromsgrove earlier on Wednesday because of an HGV tanker fire.

Four Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Droitwich and one each from Bromsgrove and Redditch. They used air foam and water jets to battle the blaze.
