A MAJOR jobs fair for the festive season will be held at the Crowngate as retailers bid to fill their seasonal store vacancies.
Recruit Crowngate will be hosting the fair between 10am and 2pm on Thursday for local job seekers to meet retailers such as Wilkinson’s, Card Party, Greene King, the Army Reserves, RAF Recruitment and Churchill Service Solutions.
New Look, Debenhams and Clinton’s also have vacancies which will be advertised at the event.
The fair will take place on Friary Walk opposite New Look and jobseekers are advised to attend with an up-to-date CV so they can sign up with Recruit Crowngate for the chance to be matched to vacancies both on the day and following the event.
Workplace co-ordinator for Recruit Crowngate, Francesca Gibbs said: “Many Crowngate retailers are successfully using this fair as a means of sourcing talented staff locally, something that they need even more of over the busy festive season.
“For jobseekers, the fair is the perfect opportunity to meet with city centre employers and improve their chances of finding work.”
Crowngate centre manager, Erica Burlace said: “Recruit Crowngate also plays a really important role in preparing people their new role.
