Exploring history is child's play

YOUNGSTERS in Worcester swapped computer games for toy cars and old teddy bears as they transformed their school into a toy museum.

Northwick Manor Primary School gave Year One pupils the chance to see what their parents and grandparents used to play with when they were their age.

After playing with the toys themselves, the children then created a museum, so their parents and fellow pupils could see them on display.

Teacher Helen Stephens said: “They particularly enjoyed writing their museum labels for their toys and displaying them for parents to see. The toy museum brought the topic to life and engaged all learners.
