APPRENTICES from Sanctuary Group took part in a wide range of activities to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week (NAW).

The leading social housing and care provider, based in Worcester, organised a number of opportunities for apprentices and their colleagues to show their support for the week-long campaign.

Job swaps and shadowing, a question-and-answer session, networking events and an apprenticeship coffee morning were all on the menu alongside team-building opportunities and volunteering in the community. Current and former apprentices also delivered a presentation about their work with the West Midlands Young Apprentice Ambassadors Network, promoting apprenticeships to businesses and young people across the region.

Michelle Wood, Sanctuary’s Group Head of Learning and Development, said: “National Apprenticeship Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the valuable contribution apprentices make to our organisation, as well as promoting the benefits of apprenticeships to a wider audience.”

Nicole Seymour, Group Director – Corporate Services, added: “Our apprenticeship programme is a fantastic example of investing in new talent, with these young people becoming an important part of our workforce and making a significant contribution to our success.

National Apprenticeship Week is an annual event, organised by the National Apprenticeship Service, celebrating the talents and skills of apprentices and the value of apprenticeship programmes.
