A PRIVATE Droitwich hospital is partnering with the county’s hospice to sponsor a penguin for the great Waddle of Worcester art trail.
Droitwich Spa Hospital has sponsored a penguin for the A Wild in Art event. The sculpture trail is being delivered by St Richard’s Hospice in its fortieth year caring for patients and loved ones across the county.
During the trail forty large penguins will be designed by artists from Worcestershire and beyond. Forty chicks will be lovingly painted by local schools and community groups.
Claire Davenport, executive director, Droitwich Spa Hospital, said: “As a local hospital, we’re very aware of the exceptional care St Richard’s has provided over the last four decades across our community.
“A charity which has touched the hearts of many – including our own team here – we couldn’t be prouder to be supporting our local hospice.
“Our team members have also loved collecting the St Richard’s giraffes and elephants around Worcester in previous years. We’re delighted to be adding a Droitwich Spa Hospital penguin into the waddle.”
