Driver cut from overturned car

A WOMAN was left with serious facial injuries after she had to be cut from her car near Martley.

Emergency services were called to the B4197, Hillside, about 8.20am this morning (Monday) to find the vehicle on its roof.

An ambulance, rapid response vehicle, paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and fire service attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car that had rolled over and come to rest on its roof. The woman driving was trapped in the vehicle.




“The woman, believed to be in her late 20s, received emergency treatment at the scene for serious scalp and facial injuries. “Her condition was stabilised whilst she was extricated from her car with the help of the fire service.

“She was trapped for around 45 minutes.


“Once the woman was released she was transferred by ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
