Crowngate chiefs reveal New Hope is chosen charity of the year

NEW Hope Worcester, which works with families who have children with disabilities and complex health care needs, has been chosen by Crowngate Shopping Centre to be their charity of the year.

New Hope, founded by Jean Wilson MBE, is a non-profit specialist provision that aims to provide a happy, safe, and stimulating environment for children to play, learn and develop freely. The charity gives every child the chance to thrive in an environment built upon equality, where everyone is treated with respect regardless of gender, cultural background, or ability.

The charity offers a wide range of services and facilities to children and carers including Saturday and school holiday clubs, a sensory room, outdoor equipment, a friendship room and much more.

Most importantly, New Hope’s experienced and suitably qualified staff who can meet the care needs of children with specific needs.

Crowngate Centre manager, Michael Lloyd, said he felt proud to support New Hope.




“New Hope provides crucial support to people in our region who would struggle to find the support otherwise,” he added.

“The work carried out by the organisation will have a lasting impact on families across our local area and we are so pleased that we are able to aid this amazing work.


“At Crowngate, we encourage many of the values promoted by New Hope, including equality and respect and so we hope that by working with the charity this year we are able to raise more awareness about the importance of equal opportunities and fair treatment for all.”

A charity spokesperson added: “We are really honoured to have been chosen as Crowngate’s charity of the year. We are really looking forward to working with the centre and are positive that this collaboration will enable us to help even more people in our local community to feel supported when it comes to caring for their child.”
