THIEVES have stolen an undisclosed amount of money after breaking into a city pub.

The crooks raided The Timberdine Harvester in Bath Road about 2.45am yesterday (Tuesday) and made off with the cash.

CCTV footage shows two men in dark clothes entering the premises.

Police said there were further break-ins at pubs in neighbouring Studley and Redditch on the same night.

The first took place at The Studley Sports and Social Club on Eldorado Close about 12.45am. The alarm was activated and the intruders left empty handed.

Then, about 4.15am, the Studley Road Social Club in Redditch was broken into and the crooks left the scene with cash.

Descriptions have been provided for two male suspects at the Studley Road Social Club break-in.

The first is described as being about 5 ft 10 ins tall, of slim build, wearing slim fitting jeans, a light coloured hooded top with dark jacket over the top and trainers.

The second is described as being 5 ft 10 ins tall, of medium build, wearing light coloured loose jogging bottoms with lines down the side, white trainers and black gloves.

DCI Dave Goosen said: “At the moment we don’t have evidence to confirm that these offences were carried out by the same people but given the timeframe and locations this is a possibility. If anyone was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously or any suspicious vehicles then we are keen to hear from them.”

Officers will be working with other licensed premises in the region to raise awareness of these offences and highlight what they can do to reduce their chances of falling victim to crime.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
