GREEN Councillors Matthew Jenkins and Neil Laurenson picked several bags of rubbish during a litter pick close to a city school.

The kind-hearted councillors six full bags of rubbish – three green and three black – along the alleyway by St. Barnabas CE Primary School and along Green Lane and the alleyway leading to Tintern Avenue on Saturday (October 17).

Coun Laurenson said: “It was satisfying to have collected so much, though obviously I would prefer there to be no litter to have to collect!

“If there are any other areas of St. Stephen that people would like us to help to tidy up I would encourage them to contact us,” he added.
