Community chiefs to lead post-COVID training drive

WARRIORS Community Foundation has been chosen to deliver a pilot programme to help young people re-integrate into education, training or employment post-COVID-19.

The programme is being  run by Action for Children, a national charity, with funding from Barnardo’s.

This is a unique opportunity for ten young people to attend ten sessions free of charge at Sixways Stadium which will help give them the confidence they need to get back to normal life in a safe COVID-secure environment.

“We know that many young people in the 16 to 19 age group are feeling anxious and isolated at the moment and the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic has had a detrimental effect on their mental health,” said Carol Hart, Head of Warriors Community Foundation.

“This programme which is free to participants will give them the support and confidence they need to get back to normal life, whether that is through education, training or employment, whilst being supported in a safe COVID secure environment here at Sixways.

“We have a limited number of spaces available and one-to-one support is also offered if needed required.”
