NEW College Worcester has taken the wraps off their annual Eye Care We Care campaign to celebrate World Sight Day.
The campaign runs through the month of October and aims to draw attention to a wide range of issues surrounding blindness and vision impairment while raising funds to support the students’ education and well-being.
Jodi Brandwood, NCW Fund-raiser, says “We are really excited to be launching our Eye Care We Care Campaign this year, especially as many of our planned fundraising events this summer couldn’t go ahead due to COVID restrictions on public gatherings.
“We are inviting individuals, businesses, schools and community groups to support us by taking part and joining in with the fun!”
Successful events in the past have included; quizzes, blindfolded tasting, “Go Orange” dress down days, cake sales, wine tasting evenings, come-dine-with-me style cooking competitions, sports challenges and supermarket bag-packs.
