Collapsed wall leads to closure of two roads in Worcester

Worcester Editorial 9th Feb, 2024 Updated: 9th Feb, 2024   0

THIS was the dramatic moment when a wall collapsed in Worcester, leading to two roads being shut.

Reservoir Lane and Rainbow Hill were shut following the incident involving the 10m by 8m wall.

Concrete, bricks and debris spilled onto the carriageway and the road was closed for safety reasons.

The picture above from Worcestershire Highways shows the impact the incident had.

Fortunately no-one was injured in the collapse.

The emergency services, including crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, were called to the scene around 7.50am.

Rainbow Hill has since been reopened.
