City’s big show hailed a success

Worcester Editorial 17th Aug, 2017   0

ORGANISERS of the Worcester Show are celebrating after an estimated 10,000 visitors attended this year’s event.

Gheluvelt Park once again played host to the annual celebration of food, arts and crafts and the community on Sunday.

Judging took place in 120 competitive classes, which range from growing a wide variety of fruit and vegetables to displaying flowers and floral decorations, creative handicrafts and photography, baking and modelling.

The Mayor of Worcester, Steve Mackay, made the presentations to the winners.

A wide variety of local clubs and societies were on hand and food lovers were invited to indulge in a number of cooking demonstrations.

Fun for all the family was on offer with pony rides, face painting, the chance to meet an owl, and much, much more for youngsters to enjoy.
